Quad 0 Combustors
Big Iron Oilfield Services coordinated with Cordova Flow Controls when they decided to engineer a line of Quad 0 Enclosed Combustor Units (ECUs) with the understanding that tank vapor pressures, temperatures, and airflow needed to be controlled simultaneously to ensure proper destruction of tank vapors.
Big Iron and Cordova quickly realized in order to adhere to the testing standards of NSPS Subpart 0000 (Quad 0) as specified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, proper airflow was critical to maintaining the destruction of tank vapors throughout the specified flow rates of the ECUs. Cordova's GATEKEEPER ignition system, in combination with Big Iron's "Air Dial", ensures that >99% destruction efficiency is met.

Ignition Systems & Controls
The DEFENDER-LITE is the perfect economical solution and the most basic of the Cordova Flow Controls line of ignitions. It simply lights the ECU's pilot and monitors the flame continuously. It has external LED status lights and can operate one valve to coincide with the pilot status.

Defender-Lite
The DEFENDER-LITE is a great, economical solution to help maintain and re-light the pilot for your Enclosed Combustion Unit (ECU). The system was specifically engineered to provide a reliable and continuous spark and pilot recognition at an economical cost. The DEFENDER-LITE is the most basic and user-friendly model of the Cordova ignition system and simply lights the pilot, monitors the pilot, and alarms out upon failure. It also has the capability of sending a pneumatic signal to control a Cordova GPV-250 process valve (or similar) that coincides with pilot status. An optional Cordova DATA VAULT can be added to record pilot uptime.
DEFENDER-LITE Specs
The DEFENDER LITE includes an external LED light that gives pilot status and is controlled by one external button. No need to open the door.
Defender
The Cordova DEFENDER ignition system is the flagship system designed to help ECUs maintain complete destruction of the gas entering the combustor. It comes standard with a 3.5" LCD touchscreen display to start and observe the operation of the system. It can also operate up to two optional valves to help with pilot control and main burner control, as well as up to two thermocouple inputs. There is a default alarm switch included to transfer alarm status to a PLC via wire and can accommodate optional RAD-I/0 wireless point-to-point radios or the popular DATA VAULT data logger to store pilot uptime.

The DEFENDER is easily field upgradeable to become a GATEKEEPER if pressure control on the main burn gas is desired.
Gatekeeper
The GATEKEEPER ignition system is the high-end model of Cordova's systems and has all of the functions of the DEFENDER, but also has the capability of monitoring the main burn line pressure. Monitoring the main burn line pressure causes the system to only allow burn gas to the ECU when proper pressures are met and maintained, ensuring complete combustion of the vapors. The GATEKEEPER comes with a standard default alarm switch to transfer alarm status to a PLC via wire and can accommodate optional RAD-I/0 wireless point-to-point radios or the popular DATA VAULT data logger to store pilot uptime.
GATEKEEPER Specs
Data Vault
The Cordova Data Vault is the perfect solution for recording operational efficiency for Enclosed Combustion Devices and any other equipment where uptime and downtime recording is critical. The powerful Data Vault from Cordova Flow Controls has 2 analog and 2 digital inputs with onboard pull-ups, one radio port, and one communications port that can be set to RS232 or RS485 for retrieval of data through existing automation. If no existing automation is available, the Data Vault is capable of storing 500,000 records with automatic rollover of the oldest data first and also utilizes two 64Mb memory chips for redundant storage. The Data Vault also contains one USB port used to easily configure the unit and retrieve the data and also utilizes smart firmware that will not write to the flash or FRAM when power drops below 5.3V, ensuring against possibly corrupt data.

RAD-I/O 1500 (Wireless link)
Cordova's RAD-I/Os are a safe and cost-effective alternative to burying traditional hard lines for data transmission at your production site. Simply, attach the preconfigured "Scout" at the remote communication point, and the preconfigured "Base" at the location you require the signal to be received. Provide 9-30V DC, or ask about our optional solar and battery packages.
